Everyone who is interested in the BLM management plan for Piñon Mesa and the Granite Creek areas (Area 9) needs to stay alert and involved. These areas are currently involved in a reassessment process as part of what is identified as the “Gateway Area” Management Plan, under the Bureau of Land Management Grand Junction Field Office. The future access to and use of these areas is at stake. There is a schedule for public meetings to get information and provide input on the new plan.
The local planning workshop for zones 3,5,9 & 10 will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, at 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at the Mesa County Courthouse Annex, Multipurpose Room, 544 Rood Ave., Grand Junction, CO.
Below find the BLM link, which provide information on dates of meetings, and avenues to give input.
If anyone has been following this process, and has input for us, please make contact from link below, and I will post your comments.
