Mary Jane Forrester was the grandmother of Jeffrey Baber, long time resident of Glade Park. She was born in Alvord,TX on December 28, 1928. She died peacefully in her sleep September 15,2013.
Mother did nothing extraordinary. She didn't have an exciting career. Raising three children on her own provided all the excitement she needed. She never wrote a book, though she could have with her flair for drama and her superb imagination. She never sang a song for the world to hear, but how she loved to sing with her sisters! Mother never danced with the stars here on earth, but she made sure we got to go to any school dance we wanted to attend. Mother always put our needs first; many times going without so we could have.
Mother leaves a legacy of three children, Diane (Hughes) Williams of Hereford, AZ; Elaine (Hughes) Baber of Mesquite, NV and Jerry Hughes of Coeur d’Alene, ID. Mother is also survived by a sister, Frances Van Mark of Longmont, CO and a brother, Robert Forrester of Wichita Falls, TX; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
