GLADE PARK COMMUNITY-WIDE MEETING
Glade Park Community Center
Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
A meeting has been requested by concerned residents to receive input from other Glade Park residents/interested parties regarding the recent 2017 USA Cycling Collegiate & Para Road Cycling National Championships Bike Race held in Glade Park, the week of April 24th, races being held on Thursday, April 27th, and Friday, April 28th, to field any comments or input that may be helpful in assessing future bike races or roadway events in Glade Park.
We want to hear your voices with positive or negative feedback, as well as any questions, incidents, problems or concerns you may have had, so we can review the Glade Park location as a venue in regards to this year’s event, and to formulate a basis of issues to be considered in utilizing Glade Park roadways for future events of this kind.
1) Your input on whether property owners should be allowed to have a say (or should
it be a requirement?) on events prior to scheduling at Glade Park by non-
resident parties in the future
2) Your input and examples of travel/safety problems encountered (i.e., delays,
restricted/no access problems, emergency response concerns, livestock concerns,
normal activity concerns, etc.) prior to, during, or after the event or for
those trying to travel that week
3) Answers to your questions or concerns from the parties involved in the event
coordination
4) Positive comments/praise/support for the event will be welcomed after the above
has been covered
