Dee Grant Lawson April 13, 1954 - December 10, 2009
Dee Grant Lawson, age 55, passed away in his home on December 10, 2009. Dee was born on April 13, 1954 in Grand Junction to Ralph and Josephine (Carns) Lawson. He graduated from FMHS in 1973. Dee married Glenda Burgess in Hawaii on March 10, 1975. Dee was a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed ranching, fishing, four wheeling, hunting and was an incredibly hard worker. He previously resided in Rangely, CO and was a member of the Rangely Christian Church. Dee was a very gentle spirit with a quiet sense of humor and was very giving of himself. Dee is survived by his wife of 34 years, Glenda of Grand Junction; son, Ty (Allison) of Sumter, SC; daughter, Tarrah (Josh) Patch of Rangely, CO; brother, Ted (Sally) of Montrose, CO; sister, Carrol (Dick) Reigles of Grand Junction, and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Martin Mortuary on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Thad Noyes will officiate. Memorial donations should be made to The American Heart Association.

Dee is the descendent of Glade Park homesteaders on both his maternal (Carnes) and paternal (Lawson) sides. His parents, Ralph and Josephine Lawson, still own land on Glade Park. He is the nephew of Dennis Carnes.
